Hi, I'm Giselle!

I am a wife, the mother of six amazing kids and an obsessive cookie decorator.

My love of cookie decorating started in 2011 when my husband was on his second deployment. I wanted to send him cake but that just doesn't ship well.  I saw some cute decorated sugar cookies and thought I'd give it a try. I picked up a piping bag and never looked back. 

When my husband returned from his deployment I continued baking and decorating cookies, but with one difference....I did it in heels. I wanted to keep things fun and sexy. That's where Baking in Heels came in.

At the time you could not sell cookies in Louisiana, so I started a blog where I could talk "cookies" with others who loved decorating them as much as I do. 

Since then, the cottage food law of Louisiana has allowed me to sell my cookies! *insert happy dance*

I run a small home based cookie business and I hope to open a cookie shop sometime in the near future.
